Blythewoood, S.C. - The Auburn equestrian team (2-0) defeated conference rival South Carolina (1-1) 10-6 at One Wood Farm Saturday. The Tiger defeated the Gamecocks 5-2 in Hunt Seat and 5-4 in Western.
"South Carolina is one of the toughest teams in the country," said Auburn head coach Greg Williams. "You just don't get very many opportunities to come to their house and pick up a win. Our girls rode extremely well. They did a phenomenal job. Not to take anything from the girls, but I have to give the credit to Coach Neubarth and Helfer on this win. They have worked hard; their plan has been implemented well, and the girls have bought into it. Right now for this early, we really are a very strong team."
