AUBURN - The Auburn swimming and diving teams started their dual meet against the Texas squads with the divers contesting the 1-meter springboard event on Wednesday afternoon. The rest of the meet will take place at the James E. Martin Aquatic Center Thursday beginning at 3 p.m. Admission is free.
In the men's competition, Texas' Drew Livingston placed first with a score of 357.82, followed by Auburn's Kelly Marx (336.07) and Dan Mazzaferro (328.35). Also for the Tigers, Scott Morgan (324.52) placed fifth and Adam Godzinski (286.50) was seventh.
The Longhorns' Kathryn Kelly finished first in the women's event (314.55), while Auburn's Anna Aguero took second with a score of 267.59. Vanessa Dantin was fifth (242.77), Mary Catherine Cochran placed seventh (196.65) and Laura Mulqueen was eighth (191.77).
