Golf in Seventh Place After First Two Rounds of Reunion Intercollegiate

MADISON, Miss. - The Auburn men's golf team shot a 39-over 615 and is in seventh place after the first two rounds of the Reunion Intercollegiate at the par 72, 7,416-yard Reunion Golf and Country Club in Madison, Miss. Monday.

The Tigers improved by shooting a second round 302 after a first round 313. Senior Glenn Northcutt (73-149) finished the day in fifth place at five-over par, just six shots off the lead. Freshman Kyle Kopsick (76-154) is currently tied at 25th, junior Cole Moreland (77-156) and freshman John Stembridge (76-156) are both tied for 36th and senior Keith White (80-162) is tied for 57th.

"I am happy with the way we bounced back and improved in the second round," said Auburn head coach Mike Griffin. "We need to continue that in the final round Tuesday."

LSU (297-299--596) is currently in the lead followed by No. 19 Arkansas (297-302--599), Vanderbilt (306-296--602), North Florida (314-298--612), Southern Mississippi (311-301--612), Ole Miss (311-303--614), Auburn (313-302--615), UNCG (309-312--621), Mississippi State (309-313--622), UAB (309-313--622), Southeastern Louisiana (319-309--628), Memphis (317-317--634), South Alabama (316-325--641), Louisiana Tech (322-319--641) and Jackson State (326-324--650).

Vanderbilt's Adam Hofmann is currently in first place, carding a one-under 143 on the day.

The two-day, 54-hole tournament continues with the final round Tuesday.
