AUBURN, Ala. - Members of the Auburn diving team traveled to Athens, Ga., for the University of Georgia Invite Saturday at the Gabrielsen Natatorium.
"We had a very successful day of competition," Jeff Shaffer, head diving coach, said. "I'm very happy with our performance and it was overall a good day."
Senior Kelly Marx put together his best performance on the one-meter this season, taking first in a NCAA Zone score of 375.45. Also receiving a Zone score was sophomore Adam Godzinski, who recorded a score of 305.75 in the preliminary round. He finished sixth overall with 283.35 points.
Sophomores Anna Aguero and Vennie Dantin represented the Tigers on the three-meter springboard. Aguero finished second overall with a Zone score of 327.45, while Dantin picked up a Zone score of 315.10 for third.
Competition continues Sunday as the Tigers compete on the 10-meter platform.
