CHARLESTON, S.C.- The Auburn men's golf team (284-855) finished seventh at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Tuesday, shooting even par in Tuesday's final round at the Bulls Bay Golf Club in Charleston, S.C.

The Tigers were led by sophomores Kyle Kopsick (73-212) and Will McCurdy (73-213) who tied for 14th and 17th, respectively. Sophomore John Stembridge (67-216) fired a 5-under final round to leap into the top-30. Sophomore David Zickler (71-217) tied for 32nd followed by senior Cole Moreland (75-221) in 50th.

"The field was tight all tournament," said Auburn head coach Nick Clinard. "We played well all week but left a few too many strokes on the course. We're coming down the final stretch of the season. There's only one tournament left before the conference championship. We need to get back home and continue to work on the things that have helped us be so productive this spring."

Stembridge's final round 67 was the lowest 18-hole total of his collegiate career and the second single-round total for the Tigers this season.

No.29 LSU (279-845) claimed the team title followed by Wake Forest (276-846), No. 18 Virginia (279-848), No. 3 Augusta State (281-853), Duke (285-854), Auburn, No. 14 Clemson (284-857), NC State (280-857), No. 27 Chattanooga (286-863), Kentucky (286-868), No. 30 ETSU (285-870), Central Florida (283-876), Long Beach State (299-903) and College of Charleston (308-921).

NC State's Matt Hill (69-204) earned medalist honors followed by Wake Forest's Lee Bedford (63-206) in second place.

The Tigers return to action April 10-11 at the Bluegrass Invitational in Lexington, Ky.
