TROY, Ala. - Auburn track and field recorded four event wins and posted nine personal bests on Saturday at the 2012 Coach O Invitational hosted by Troy University.
The four victories included a win by freshman Erin Fondren in the 5000 meters. Fellow women's distance runners Elizabeth Briasco (3rd place, 4:48.42) and Lauren Barr (5:10.13) also posted new PRs in the 1500 meters.
Samantha Scarlett (new PR, 13.94) and Dannielle Davis placed first and second in the women's 100 meter hurdles. Senior Krystal Bodie was second in the 400 meter hurdles in 1:02.40.
Adam Civitano set a new PR in the 400 meter hurdles by crossing the finish line in 55.31. Running the 3000 meter steeplechase for the first time in 2012, senior Joby Peake earned the win in 9:26.29.
In the men's 100 meters, freshman Joseph Fisher established a new career-best mark with his fifth-place finish in 10.62 seconds. Senior Neil Danville PRed with his mark of 21.89 seconds in the 200 meters and placed fourth in 48.66 in the 400 meters.
Sophomore Tori Nwadiogbu set a new PR in the women's hammer throw with her mark of 48.94m.
Jeff Sanders was second (1:53.98) and Jonathan Hardin was third (1:54.62, new PR) in the 800 meters. Andrew Scott set a new PR with his second-place finish in 15:39.34 in the men's 5000 meters.
Pole vaulter Nick Farrell finished first with his clearance at 4.80m - his second win of the season.
