MOBILE, Ala. -Auburn men's and women's cross country are set to compete at the Azalea City Classic on Saturday, September 15, at the Brookley Pines Golf Course hosted by the University of South Alabama.
The men's race 8k will begin at 7:30 a.m. with the women's 6k to follow at 8:05 a.m. Auburn is one of 17 schools participating in the event.
Auburn is coming off a win at the Auburn Invite after Kane Grimster recorded his second career individual victory and third career top-10 finish. For his finish, Grimster was named the SEC's Runner of the Week. Niklas Buhner finished in second place, less than a second behind Grimster.
On the women's side, Alissa Fisher led the Tigers with her fourth place finish with a time of 14:43.9. Lizzie Briasco (14:56.6) finished in seventh place.
