ATHENS, Ga. - Sophomore Alex Harrell tied for first as the Auburn women's golf team completed play at the Lady Bulldog Individual Playing Championship in Athens, Ga., on Saturday.

Harrell fired a two-round total of 147, finishing 3-over to tie for first with co-medalist Chessey Thomas of Tennessee. Both players played a one-hole playoff which resulted in a tie and were deemed co-medalists. Each player fired a 75 in the morning round, before completing play with a second-round even-par 72.

"I was pretty excited to come out here. Finally, everything came together today," Harrell said. "I thought I hit some really good putts, chipped really well today. It's really exciting to play this well after losing Danielle (Downey) last week. I had support from my team and I was excited to play well."
