Auburn women's golf tied for 13th after second day at Darius Rucker Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - After carding rounds of 305-301-606 (+38), the Auburn women's golf team heads into the final round at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate tied for 13^th. Senior Marta Sanz led the Tigers with a team-low round of 1-under 70 on Saturday.

The Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, hosted by South Carolina, is a 54-hole three-day tournament that is being played at the Long Cove Club. The par 71 course is playing at 6,142 yards for the event.

Sanz, who recorded an eagle on the fifth hole during her round, enters the final day tied for 13^th with rounds of 76-70--146 (+4). Sophomore Alex Harrell heads in to Sunday tied for 16^th after a 4-over 75 in the second round.

Senior Diana Fernandez is tied for 52^nd after the second day of competition with rounds of 74-79--153 (+11). Junior Victoria Trapani fired a 6-over 77 on Saturday and is tied for 82^nd at 19-over 162. Freshman Clara Baena is tied for 85^th going into the last round at the tournament with rounds of 83-80--163 (+21).

Duke leads the field at 7-over 575 heading into Sunday's final round. Vanderbilt is second at 15-over 583, host South Carolina is in third at 22-over 590. North Carolina is at 24-over 592 going into Sunday in fourth, while LSU is fifth with a team score of 25-over 593.

Individually, Alabama's Stephanie leads the field with rounds of 67-72--139 (-3). Celine Boutier of Duke and Carolina Nistrup from LSU are tied for second at 2-under 140. Duke's Yu Liu is fourth at 1-under 141, while North Carolina's Elizabeth Mallett is fifth at even-par 142.

Play concludes on Sunday at 7 a.m. CT with tee times off the Nos. 1 and 10 tees. The Tigers will lead the day off on No. 10, going from 7:45 a.m. - 8:21 a.m. CT, playing alongside Kentucky and Arizona State.

Live scoring for the tournament will be on Golfstat.com. Auburn will tee off on Saturday morning for the second round starting at 8:35 a.m. ET at the Long Cove Club.
