FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- A bases-loaded, walk-off single in the 10th inning gave Arkansas a 4-3 win over Auburn in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday at Baum Stadium.

Auburn fell to 24-20 overall, 8-12 in SEC play, while Arkansas improved to 28-17, 10-10.

The Tigers took a 3-2 lead to the eighth inning but could not hold it. Arkansas' Brian Anderson led off with a single, but reliever Jay Wade was able to get two quick outs with a pop-up and a strikeout. However, a hit batter put runners at first and second with two out, and catcher Jake Wise delivered an RBI single to tie the game at 3-3.

In the 10th, the first three Arkansas hitters reached on a double, a single and an intentional walk. The Tigers got one out, coming home for the force on a grounder to third, but a drive to the gap in right-center by Tyler Spoon brought the winning run home.

Freshman Keegan Thompson put together another strong start, pitching 7.0 innings while giving up two runs on seven hits while striking out six. Senior Terrance Dedrick (1-2) was charged with the loss, scatting four hits over 1.2 innings.

Arkansas took a 1-0 lead in the second inning. Eric Fisher led off the inning with a double, moved to third on a groundout and scored on a sacrifice fly by Jake Wise. The Razorbacks would add another in the third on a bases-loaded RBI single by Blake Baxendale, scoring Andrew Benintendi to make it 2-0.

Auburn cut the Arkansas lead in half in the fourth with a two-out rally. Damek Tomscha was hit by a pitch, took third on a Blake Austin single, then scored as Blake Logan drove him home with an RBI single to left, making it 2-1.

Auburn grabbed the lead in the top of the sixth. A leadoff single by Jordan Ebert and a walk to Damon Haecker put runners at first and second with no out, and a bunt single by Damek Tomscha turned into a run-scoring error when the Razorback third baseman threw the ball away, tying the game at 2-2. Haecker, who moved to third on the error, would score one batter later as Blake Austin lifted a sacrifice fly to left to give the Tigers a 3-2 lead.

Logan had two of Auburn's five hits. Austin, Tomscha and Ebert had the other three.
