Atlanta, Ga. - Auburn sophomore Oliver Plaskett won the Gold Group final at the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta on Sunday with a 3-6, 7-5, 6-1 win over Furman's Jacob Behal.
"I'm very happy with the effort Oliver showed this weekend. He started slow and finished up playing his best tennis," said Auburn assistant coach Martin Stiegwardt. "He knows he needs to keep working in some areas to keep improving.
"Today, he struggled in the first set, but found a way to turn it around and win the match and the tournament."
