AUBURN, Ala. - The Auburn men's tennis team fell in singles and doubles play on Day Three at the ESPN Disney Clay Court Championships on Saturday.
Sophomore Maxime Hinnisdaels fell in the the singles semifinals, while Petar Tomic and Joseph Van Dooren fell in the doubles semifinals.
"We had a solid tournament from Max. He had chances to win and we can see how much he can improve," Auburn head coach Eric Shore said. "We also had a good run by Joseph and Petar in the doubles bracket this week."
Hinnisdaels won his first match of the day, defeating Southern California's Eric Johnson 6-1, 6-4. He would then take on Southern California's Nick Crystal in the semifinals, but eventually drop the match 6-2, 1-6, 6-3.
Van Dooren and Tomic would also lose their semifinal match, falling to Florida State'sCristian Gonzalez Mendez and Jose Gracia 6-3, 6-4.
