Three Tigers advance to finals at Georgia Tech Invitational

ATLANTA -
Three Auburn divers advanced to finals during the second day of action at the Georgia Tech Invitational on Friday at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center.

Justin Youtsey was Auburn's top finisher on the men's side, taking fifth overall in the men's 3-meter final with a season-best score of 359.50. Youtsey advanced to Friday's final after taking third in the prelim session earlier in the day, posting a score of 354.45.

Pete Turnham continued his run of strong performances, taking seventh with a score of 335.50, a season-best and give the freshman a NCAA Zone qualifying standard on the springboard.

On the women's side, Cinzia Calabretta provided Auburn with the best finish in the women's 1-meter final, posting a score of 269.90 to take eighth in the 10-diver final. Carly Scheper placed 17th overall with a 254.30 and Shanna Schuelein took 27th with a 235.00 in Friday's prelims.

Auburn's divers will climb the tower on Saturday, competing on the platform for the first time this season. Both groups will perform one list during the final day of competition. Live scoring can be found on DiveMeets.com.
