ATHENS, Ga. - Joe Patching recorded an NCAA automatic qualifying time in the 200 back, Fraser McKean won the platform title and Auburn's men's 400 freestyle relay team picked up an `A' cut to close out the Georgia Invitational on Sunday.

Patching earned his first individual `A' cut of the season and went 1:40.75 to take second overall in an extremely fast 200 back final, posting the fifth-best time in the nation this year. The time by the sophomore nearly set a personal-best; Patching went 1:40.67 at the 2014 NCAA Championships.

The men's 400 freestyle relay team closed out the meet in strong fashion as the team of Arthur Mendes, Michael Duderstadt, Jacob Molacek and Kyle Darmody recorded the third-best time in the nation this year with a 2:52.47, finishing second overall.

"I'm really happy with our relays at this point," head coach Brett Hawke said. "We always want to build our teams around relays, I thought both our teams stepped up and performed well for the most part. Overall, I think we raced really tough. We've got our sights set on the championship season with the SEC Championships being at our pool."

Fraser McKean earned his second individual victory of the weekend, posting a six-dive list of 413.70 to win the men's platform final. Pete Turnham took 11th overall in the platform final with a season-high 258.15.

Duderstadt picked up a fourth-place finish in the 200 breast, recording the third-best time in school history at 1:55.06 to set a personal best, a NCAA `B' cut. Jordan Jones took 16th overall, swimming 2:04.01 in the consolation final.

Darmody turned in a 43.82 in the 100 free championship final to place fourth overall, while Molacek took sixth at 44.06. Cam Jones lowered his NCAA `B' cut time down to 44.12 finishing seventh.
