Madison, Ala.

By Megan Bifano

Sophomore Meggie Lim is looking forward to her second season with the Tigers. Lim is majoring in Mechanical Engineering and feels that Auburn is her home away from home. As the Tigers kick off the 2015 season, the Madison, Ala., native is eager to see what is in store for herself and her teammates.

Q: Why Auburn?
A: "I chose Auburn because of the great education offered here, especially the engineering program. Education has always been a priority to me, and I know earning a degree from Auburn will open up a lot of opportunities for me. Also, it's a small college town with a beautiful campus, so it really makes me feel at home."

Q: What are some things that your teammates would say about you?
A: "My teammates would probably say that I am weird, which is actually pretty accurate. When I first got here, I was really shy and didn't say much, but now that I've become comfortable with them. I bet they probably wish I was quiet again."

Q: If you could play any other sport, what would it be?
A: "I've never actually played another sport competitively, but I feel like volleyball or tennis would be a lot of fun! My hand-eye coordination isn't the best, so I don't think those would work out too well. Football also seems fun, but I'd definitely get beat up pretty badly if I played against the guys."

Q: What is your dream job when gymnastics comes to and end?
A: "When I'm done with gymnastics and graduated from college, hopefully with a degree in mechanical engineering, I would love to build cars. More specifically, I'd want to work on the design process of the manufacturing."

Q: Who are some of your role models?
A: "My parents are my biggest role models. They've always pushed me to work harder and try my best. Also, they've taught me to be respectful of others, which is something that is important that can I carry on for the rest of my life."

Q: What do you like to do outside of gymnastics?
A: "Outside of the gym, I like to hang out with my teammates and friends. We usually just enjoy relaxing and watching a movie or playing games. Cards Against Humanity is a fun one to play! When I'm on my own, I like to watch Netflix. I'm currently watching and obsessed with Friends." ââ'¬Æ'

Q: What teammate (past or present) do you look up to and why?
A: "I look up to my former teammate and Auburn gymnast Nikki Galluzzo. She was one of the first people I became close friends with when I arrived at Auburn. Not only was she a hard working gymnast, but she is also always fun to be around. Plus, she has great taste in shoes."

Q: What is your favorite Auburn tradition?
A: "It's hard to choose one tradition as the favorite. I have to say I love rolling Toomer's Corner because all of the Auburn Family is out there celebrating a win and having a good time. I've never actually rolled the oak trees, but they're supposed to replant them soon. I'm excited about that!"

Q: What does the Auburn Family mean to you?
A: "The Auburn Family is special to me because it makes Auburn feel like a home away from home. Everyone is so welcoming and willing to help you out whenever you're in need of it. I know that I will still be part of the Auburn Family after I graduate because of the friendships, knowledge and experience I've gained from being here. Also if I'm wearing an Auburn shirt, it is guaranteed that I'll get a "War Eagle!" from a fellow Auburn Family member."
