AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn track and field recorded seven personal bests on Friday as the Tigers competed at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., and at the Husky Invitational in Seattle, Wash.

"The Tyson Invitational is really an NCAA preview meet, so making into the finals is a good indication of where we are at," head coach Ralph Spry said. "The sprinters ran really well, especially on the women's side with Ebony Morrison and Samantha Scarlett. Teray Smith did a great job on the men's side making into the 60m final. SheKara Martin had two PRs and that is what you are looking for. Things starting to come together. You want to get in position to score at SECs and qualify for NCAAs. Tomorrow will be a big day. We had a pretty solid day today and a lot of PRs and if we can do that at a meet like this, that is a good indication."

Sophomore Ebony Morrison and senior Samantha Scarlett advanced to the finals of the 60mH, clocking an 8.27 and an 8.28, respectively, in the semis. Scarlett placed fourth at 8.29 in the final. Sophomore SheKara Martin recorded two new personal bests in the 60m after running a 7.39 in the semis, before finishing fifth at 7.35 in the finals.

Sophomore Teray Smith became the sixth-fastest performer in school history in the 60m, running a 6.67 in the semifinals. The Freeport, Bahamas native finished fourth in the finals at 6.71. In the women's long jump, freshman Dominique Bullock set a new personal record with a distance of 18-8.5/5.70m.

At the Husky Invitational, Senior Ty McCormack set the program's fifth-fastest time since 1998 in the 5000m, setting a new indoor personal record at 13:55.31. McCormack's mark as the second-fastest time in the SEC. Senior Griffin Jaworski closed the Husky Invitational for the Tigers with a 14:15.97 in the event, setting a new personal best.

In the women's 5000m, sophomore Veronica Eder recorded a nine-second personal best at 16:52.78, which ranks as the SEC's fourth-fastest time heading into the weekend.

Auburn will return to action Saturday at the Tyson Invitational at 12 p.m. CT, which can be seen online on SEC Network+, available on the WatchESPN app or WatchESPN.com. The Husky Invitational is slated to begin at 2:20 CT with Rachel Givens in 3000m.
