AUBURN, Ala. - Sophomores SheKara Martin and Teray Smith each earned a victory in the 60m finals on Saturday as five Tigers competed at the Alex Wilson Invitational in South Bend, Ind.
Martin clocked a 7.38 in the final, edging out freshman teammate Jonielle Smith, who set a personal best at 7.40. Martin placed runner-up in the 200m with a time of 24.07.
Smith ran a 6.77 in the 60m, before finishing runner-up as the top collegiate finisher in the 200m at 21.35. In the 60m hurdles, junior Samantha Scarlett placed second at 7.33, while senior Torrey Campbell took sixth.
The Tigers will return to action on Friday and Saturday at the SEC Indoor Championships in Lexington, Ky.
