COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The No. 4 Auburn equestrian team fell to the sixth-ranked Texas A&M Aggies, 12-7, Saturday at the Hildebrand Equine Complex.

"We didn't compete well today," head coach Greg Williams said. "These girls are as good as those that have won National Championships before. It is now the postseason, so we have to be determined enough as one group to not lose again. I have no doubt they can win, and I hope we prove that by winning a ring in the end."

Senior Demi Stiegler earned the lone point for the Tigers in Equitation over Fences, defeating Marlena Parker, 82-80. In Equitation on the Flat, Stiegler was named MOP, downing Parker, 93-91, and sophomore Tory Hoft topped Hannah Williams 91-78.

Junior Griffin Knight earned MOP honors in Horsemanship, defeating Rachel Lucht, 75.5-75, and junior Hannah Loseke defeated Avery Ellis, 72-0. Junior Allie Dusha beat Sarah Kate Grider, 71-0, in Reining, before senior Katsy Leeman closed the match with a 73.5-73 victory over Kaci Fisher, earning MOP honors.

Auburn (6-6, 1-5 SEC) will return to action March 27-28 for the SEC Championships in College Station.
