Second round complete at Darius Rucker Intercollegiate

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - Auburn women's golf is tied for 11th place through two rounds at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate after shooting a 307 (+23) in Saturday's second round.

The Tigers have posted rounds of 298-307=605 and are tied with North Carolina at 37-over, one shot back of 10th place.

On another day that yielded few low numbers across the field, junior Alex Harrell led the way for the Tigers with a 2-over-par 73 to move into a tie for 17th place in the 90-player field. Harrell carded four birdies along with four bogeys and a double-bogey to finish off the team's best round of the week so far.

Freshman Sophia Schubert improved her first-round score by four strokes with a 76 (+5), recording a pair of birdies on the day. Freshman Kelli Murphy shot 78 (+7) and sophomore Clara Baena posted an 80 (+9) to round out the four team-counting scores.

Duke was the only team in the field under par for the day and moved into the lead at 576 (+8) for the week, one shot ahead of LSU (+9). Duke's Leona Maguire shot a tournament-record 65 (-6) to move into the lead at 4-under. Only three players in the field are under par for the week.

Auburn will be paired with Alabama and North Carolina for the final round, which gets underway Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. CT on the No. 10 tee. Live scoring is available at golfstatresults.com.
