SAN ANTONIO - Freshmen Sophia Schubert and Kelli Murphy posted rounds below par to lead Auburn in the final round of the NCAA Women's Golf Regional on Saturday at Briggs Ranch Golf Club.

Schubert and Murphy each shot a 1-under-par 71 as the Tigers posted a team score of 292 (+4) to earn a 12th-place finish in the 54-hole event. Auburn's three-day team score was 876 (+12).

"We saw some pretty good things out of a lot of players," Auburn head coach Kim Evans said. "For what it's worth, we had a great first half of the event. But it takes 54 holes, and we just weren't able to put together a complete event."

Schubert was Auburn's top finisher for the week at 2-under-par 214, tying for 13th place overall. She posted four birdies in the final round to post her second-straight round in red numbers.

Murphy recorded her best round of the week with her 71, remaining bogey-free through her first 16 holes and recording birdies at the third and fourth before a bogey at the par-3 eighth, her only blemish of an otherwise outstanding round. She tied for 54th place at 6-over for the tournament.

Senior Victoria Trapani turned in a 74 (+2) in her final collegiate round to tie for 46th place overall at 4-over. Her round was highlighted by Auburn's only eagle of the tournament as she reached the par-5 seventh hole in two and rolled in a 25-foot putt. Junior Alex Harrell tied with Trapani at 46th overall after a final-round 76 (+4).

Baylor won the tournament at 842 (-22) with UCLA, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Washington and Texas Tech advancing to the NCAA Championships. Baylor's Hayley Davis was the tournament medalist at 16-under.

Final results from the NCAA San Antonio Regional, hosted by UTSA at Briggs Ranch Golf Club (par 72, 6,350 yards) in San Antonio, Texas.
