Tigers move up to fourth at Mason Rudolph

FRANKLIN, Tenn. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Auburn's women's golf team posted an even-par round of 288 to move into a tie for fourth place Saturday in the second round of the Mason Rudolph Championship.

Junior Clara Baena led the Tigers with a 2-under-par 70 in Saturday's second round. After a bogey at the third hole, she was flawless over the final 15 holes, recording birdies at the seventh, eighth and 15th holes. Paired with an even-par round Friday, she is 2-under for the tournament and tied for 13th place.

Senior Alex Harrell posted her second-straight strong round, carding an even-par 72 to keep her at 3-under for the week. The Phenix City native had one birdie and one bogey on each nine, bogeying the third hole and playing the final 15 holes at 1-under. Harrell remains in the top 10 in a tie for eighth place.

Kelli Murphy and Michaela Owen each carded their second-straight rounds of 73 (+1). Murphy posted three birdies and four bogeys, including a birdie at the 18th, and Owen had three birdies, a bogey and a triple-bogey as both players are tied for 35th place.

Georgia leads the tournament at 15-under, one shot ahead of Alabama. The Tigers are tied with LSU and Virginia for fourth place, five shots ahead of Louisville. Alabama's Lakareber Abe is the individual leader at 9-under, two shots clear of Virginia's Lauren Coughlin.

The Tigers will be paired with LSU and Virginia for the final round, which gets underway with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. CT. Live scoring is available at birdiefire.com.
