AUBURN, Ala. -- The No. 8 Auburn gymnastics team dropped an SEC meet to No. 1 Florida, 197.075-195.900, in front of the second sellout in Auburn Arena history for a gymnastics meet on Friday.

The Tigers fell to 2-2, 1-1 while former Auburn assistant coach Jenny Rowland improved her Gator team to 3-0, 1-0.

"First off, I would like to thank everyone for showing up," head coach Jeff Graba said. "It was the second sellout in history. It was a lot of fun and a lot of energy on the floor. I thought our girls did a good job of fighting all day, but obviously I would rather our girls not have to fight. In the end, it's about how you finish up. I think we finished on a strong note and hopefully can build on it."

Auburn opened on vault with a score of 48.925 led by Caitlin Atkinson's 9.825. Lexus Demers and Emma Engler each scored a 9.800, Taylor Krippner a 9.775 and A'Miracal Phillips closed with a 9.725.

Atkinson, who finished tied for third in the all-around results with a 39.275, led the Tigers on bars with a score of 9.875. Kait Kluz nailed a 9.850, while Kelsey Kopec and Abby Milliet both posted a 9.825. Engler scored a 9.725 to give Auburn a final score of 49.100.

The pair of Kullen Hlawek and Krippner led the way for the Tigers on the beam as each posted a smooth 9.775. Demers scored a 9.750, Milliet a 9.725 and Atkinson a 9.675 for a final score of 48.700.

Demers, a senior from Blaine, Minn., tied a career-high on the floor with a 9.925 and was followed by a season-high of 9.900 from Atkinson. MJ Rott and Kluz each nailed a 9.850 routine, while Milliet capped things off with a 9.775. Auburn's final score on floor of 49.175 was its best score of the season.

Florida's Bridget Sloan took home All-Around honors with a final score of 39.575. Kennedy Baker and Alicia Boren bookended Atkinson in the final results.

The Tigers will travel to Fayetteville to take on Arkansas Saturday, Jan. 29, at 7:30 pm CT on SEC Network.
