Tigers complete second round in Puerto Rico

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Led by a 2-over-par 74 from senior Jamie Yun, the Auburn women's golf team completed the second round of the Lady Puerto Rico Classic on Monday.

Yun followed up a first-round 75 with a 74, giving her the best 36-hole total of her Auburn career to date. She carded two birdies on the day and avoided the big number, recording just four bogeys. Starting on the 14th hole, she was 3-over through her first eight holes but then made birdies at Nos. 4 and 7 to get back to 1-over. She followed up a bogey at the eighth with five straight pars to finish up her round. She is tied for 32nd headed into the final round.

Sophomore Kelli Murphy bounced back from a tough first round to post a 4-over 76, a five-shot improvement over Sunday's first 18 holes. Murphy also had two birdies on the day and played the front nine in just 1-over with eight pars.

The Tigers remain in 15th place with one round to go after posting a 310 (+22) Monday. Arkansas moved into the lead at 6-under, seven shots ahead of Georgia and 13 clear of first-round co-leader Texas Tech.

Auburn will be paired with Maryland, Indiana and Clemson for Tuesday's final round, which gets underway with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. local time (5:30 a.m. CT). Live scoring is available at birdiefire.com.
