ATLANTA - Natasha Lloyd and Annie Lazor will both swim in Friday night's consolation finals of the 100 breaststroke after qualifying 11th and 14th, respectively, during the morning prelims session of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships at the McAuley Aquatics Center at Georgia Tech.
Lloyd swam a personal-best 59.73, which is fourth-fastest in school history, and Lazor touched in 59.94. Micah Lawrence holds the school record at 59.29. Friday night's swims will mark the first time Auburn has had two people advance in the 100 breaststroke at the NCAA Championships since Kara Denby and Melanie Roberts in 2008.
In other swims of note Friday morning, Caroline Baddock (52.23) and Bailey Nero (53.52) both touched in personal-best times in the 100 fly. Baddock returned three events later and swam a personal-best 53.10 in the 100 backstroke.
