First round complete at LSU Tiger Golf Classic

BATON ROUGE, La. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" The first round of competition wrapped up Sunday afternoon at the LSU Tiger Golf Classic, being played at the University Club.

Playing as an individual, freshman Mai Dechathipat had the best round for the Tigers, posting a 4-over-par 76, which tied for her second-best score of the season. She is tied for 20th place after one round of play. Among the Tigers' starting lineup, sophomore Kelli Murphy led the way with a 79 (+7).

Duke leads the way through 18 holes, followed by Arkansas and Tennessee. Auburn is in 17th place after one round following a team score of 326 (+38).

Round two begins for Auburn at 8:30 a.m. Monday, paired with Denver and various individuals. Live scoring is available at golfstatresults.com.
