Two rounds complete at SEC Women's Golf Championship

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" The Auburn women's golf team concluded the second round of play in the SEC Championship Saturday afternoon at Greystone Golf & Country Club.

For the second-straight day, sophomore Kelli Murphy led the Tigers' effort, posting a round of 77 (+5) Saturday. She made 14 pars on the day along with just three bogeys and one double-bogey. She enters Sunday's final round tied for 32nd place at 7-over par.

Sophomore Michaela Owen, junior Clara Baena and senior Alex Harrell each carded rounds of 78 (+6) for the Tigers' other three counting scores. Harrell had a team-best two birdies on the day while Baena and Owen had one apiece.

As a team, Auburn posted a second-round score of 311 (+23) and stands in 13th place at 615 (+39) through 36 holes of play.

The Tigers will be paired with Kentucky for Sunday's final round and will begin play at 8:20 a.m. on the No. 10 tee. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
