AUBURN, Ala. -- No. 12 Auburn women's tennis ended it's run in the SEC Tournament on Saturday, falling to No. 3 Florida in the semifinals, 4-2.
Auburn jumped out to an early 1-0 lead after taking a hard fought doubles point. Pleun Burgmans and Alizee Michaud improved to 12-4 (10-4 SEC) on the season, upsetting Florida's No. 3 duo Brooke Austin and Kourtney Keegan, 7-5.
Andie Dikosavljevic and Alannah Griffin clinched the doubles point on court two, defeating No. 36 Josie Kuhlman and Belinda Woolcock, 7-5. Dikosavljevic and Michaud improve to 13-2 (3-1 SEC) on the season.
Burgmans picked up her 194th career win at Auburn, defeating No. 36 Kourtney Keegan, 6-4, 6-2. She now has 27 singles victories on the season, tying her for sixth all-time in single-season wins.
Auburn awaits the NCAA Selection show on Tues, May 3, where it will learn its destination for the NCAA Tournament Regional, which begins on May 13.
