After a strong 2016 season, Pleun Burgmans and Alizee Michaud finished the season ranked ninth in the final Oracle/ITA rankings, which is the highest finish for a doubles team in Auburn women's tennis history. The duo was also named ITA All-Americans, after being selected as a top eight seed in the NCAA Doubles Tournament.
Burgmans and Michaud finished the season 14-6 (9-4 SEC) and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Doubles Tournament after defeating Michigan's No. 11 Brienne Minor and Mira Ruder-Hook in the Round of 32. The pair finished the season with an 8-4 record against ranked opponents.
This is the third straight year that Burgmans has earned All-American honors and the first for Michaud. Burgmans wraps up her time at Auburn as the all-time leader in doubles victories with 107.
Burgmans is also the second three-time All-American in program history along with Fani Chifchieva (2007-09) and the only player in school history to advance to the NCAA Doubles Tournament four times.
