Muzaric earns All-America honors at NCAA Championships

NCAA Outdoor Championship Day 2 Results

Senior Valentina Muzaric, competing in her third and final NCAA Outdoor Championships finished 10th in the shot put, garnering her third All-America honors in the event. One spot shy of making finals, Muzaric's best throw of the day of 16.55m/54-3.75 came on the first of three throws.

Muzaric is the fifth Tiger to earn All-America distinctions at the meet, joining Joshua Burks, Randall Ceneus, Kahlil Henderson, and Welington Zaza on the men's side.

Teammate Rachel Dincoff finished 18th in the shot put after a throw of 15.77m/51-9. Dincoff will be back in action in the discus throw on Saturday.

The 400m relay team of freshmen Jeanine Williams, Jenae Ambrose and Michelle Atherley along with junior Sashel Brown finished 20th in 45.04.

Senior Alyssa Kopp, competing in her first NCAA Championships finished 24th with a throw of 44.59m/146-3.

Senior All-American will be the Tigers' lone competitor on Friday in the men's triple jump at 5:30 p.m. PT/7:30 p.m. CT.
