AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Auburn sophomore Kelli Murphy was named an All-American Scholar by the Women's Golf Coaches Association, the WGCA announced Tuesday.
Murphy was one of 828 golfers nationwide to receive the recognition. She was also named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll last week and the SEC Community Service team earlier this year.
It marked Murphy's second-straight recognition as an All-America Scholar. She is the eighth different Auburn golfer to be named an All-America Scholar since 1995, and this marks the ninth straight season for an Auburn golfer to receive the award. Golfers were required to have a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA to be considered.
Murphy, from Elgin, S.C., finished the 2015-16 season with a 76.88 scoring average and was Auburn's top finisher in three events.
