Auburn won the White Bracket doubles title and freshman Carles Sarrio is into the finals in singles at the Duke Bonk Invitational Saturday.
Max Hinnisdaels and Conner Huertas del Pino won the White Bracket championship with a pair of wins Saturday, an 8-5 win over Valparaiso's Charlie Emhardt and Jeffrey Schorsch, and an 8-2 victory in the finals over North Carolina's Robert Kelly and Joshua Peck.
Sarrio defeated Ladd Harrison of North Carolina 6-2, 6-2 in the quarterfinals and downed Michael Ogden of North Carolina State 6-1, 6-2 in the semis Saturday. He will face Jonathan Deautriell of North Florida for the Black Bracket title.
In the Blue Bracket for singles, sophomore Brandon Laubser advanced to the semifinals with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Maksim Kan of Wake Forest, before losing a 7-6 (3), 6-4 decision to Joshua Peck of North Carolina.
Hinnisdaels defeated Lasse Muscheites of North Florida 6-1, 7-6 (5) and dropped a 6-3, 6-4 decision to Igor Savelijic of North Carolina State in the Blue consolation bracket Saturday.
Huertas del Pino dropped into the consolation bracket with a 6-1, 6-3 loss to Felipe Sarrasague of Elon, then defeated Sean Hill of Wake Forest 6-4, 6-3.
In other doubles action, Laubser and Sarrio defeated Jason Lapidis and T.J. Pura of Duke 8-6 to advance to the Blue consolation final.
