FRANKLIN, Tenn. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Freshman Elena Hualde closed strong to post an even-par 72, leading the Auburn women's golf team in the second round of the Mason Rudolph Championship Saturday.

The Tigers are tied for fifth place through 36 holes at 587 (+11) following a round of 298 (+10) Saturday. Auburn is tied with Chattanooga and three shots back of fourth-place UCF.

Hualde shot her third straight round at even par or better, closing with two birdies in her last three holes to record an even-par 72. Coupled with her 68 in Friday's first round, Hualde remained at 4-under for the tournament, tied for fourth place. She was 2-over for the day heading to the 16th hole after a birdie and three bogeys, but she made birdie at 16 and 18 to move back to level par for the round.

Fellow freshman Kayley Marschke had her collegiate-best round with a 2-over 74, shooting 37 on both sides. She had back-to-back birdies at the ninth and 10th holes and closed with three straight pars. Sophomore Michaela Owen was one shot back with a 75 (+3), carding nine straight pars on the back nine, and she remains in the top 20 in a tie for 16th. Kelli Murphy's 77 was the Tigers' other counting score on the day.

The round finished in twilight as the teams sat through a two-and-a-half hour weather delay early in the day.

The Tigers will be paired with Chattanooga and UCF for Sunday's final round. Live scoring is available at birdiefire.com, and fans can follow @AuburnWGolf on Twitter and Instagram for updates.
