AUBURN, Ala. -- Looking to improve its mark in SEC play, the Auburn soccer team is set to travel to No. 12 Florida for a league matchup on Thursday. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. at James G. Pressley Stadium.

The Tigers (5-4-0, 1-1-0 SEC) took last season's fixture, 3-2, behind a pair of goals from Casie Ramsier and one from Kristen Dodson. Ramsier netted the game-winner in the 90th minute to secure the three points.

Florida (6-2-0, 1-1-0) hold a 16-6-1 advantage in the series, but the two teams have split the previous two results.

Auburn has started 1-1 in SEC play nine times since the program's inception in 1993. The good news for the Tigers is that they have finished .500 or better in the league eight of nine times and have ended the season in the top six of the league standings all nine seasons, with the most recent being a fourth-place finish in 2015.

Following its battle with the Gators, Auburn will return to the pitch on Sunday for another road match at Georgia. The game is set for a 2 p.m. kickoff in Athens, Ga.

Player to Watch: Casie Ramsier

Senior captain Casie Ramsier has led the team in points in two of her four seasons on campus. Ramsier secured at least 20 points twice and has netted 27 career goals. Of those, eight have been game-winners. Ramsier is just three game-winners away from tying the program's all-time mark of 11. Ramsier scored twice in last year's 3-2 triumph versus Florida, including the match-winner.

An Auburn Win Would...

A win by Auburn would give the Tigers their second win in three matches against the Gators and their first victory in Gainesville, Fla. Auburn would also move into a tie for the conference lead with six points in league play.

On This Day...

On Sept. 22, 2009, goalkeeper Amy Howard was named the Soccer America and CollegeSoccer360.com Player of the Week after making 18 saves against UNC and Duke, including a career-high 12 against the Tar Heels.

Homecoming

Five players on the Auburn roster return to their home state on Thursday evening. Ashton Brock (Dade City, Fla.), Kiana Clarke (Davie, Fla.), Bri Folds (Lakeland, Fla.), Karli Gutsche (Lithia, Fla.) and Courtney Schell (St. Augustine, Fla.) all hail from the Sunshine State.

Scouting Florida

The Gators recently returned home after a five-match road swing and took a 3-2 result from UCF. Savannah Jordan leads the team with seven goals and seven assists. Meggie Dougherty Howard is second the team with 12 points (four goals and four assists). In goal, Kaylan Marckese has one shutout in eight matches between the posts.
