RIVIERA MAYA, Mexico - Auburn freshman Jovan Rebula is tied for 21st individually after the World Amateur Team Championship 2nd round carding a 2-under 70 at the Iberostar Playa Paraiso Golf Club on Thursday.
Rebula (3-under 70-70--140) is in a 16-way tie for 21st just one shot back of the top 10.
Rebula is one of three members representing Team South Africa and the only one under par through two days of competition. The native of George, South Africa, has led South Africa to a tie for 29th among 72 teams competing for the Eisenhower Trophy.
Rebula tied for 25th in his first collegiate tournament on Sept. 11 at the Carpet Capital Collegiate, carding an even-par 74-70-72--216.
Team USA, the defending Eisenhower Trophy Champion, is in 2nd at 11-under 275, eight strokes behind leader Australia (19-under 267).
Australian teammates Cameron Davis (10-under 133) and Harrison Endycott (9-under 134) are the individual leaders.
