Sept. 27, 2016 AUBURN, Ala. - The accolades continue to pour in for Kristen Dodson as she was chosen as the National Player of the Week by TopDrawerSoccer.com on Tuesday, following a 10-point week on the pitch.
Dodson also headlined TopDrawerSoccer.com's Team of the Week as one of the three forwards selected for the weekly award.
The junior becomes the first player to be recognized as the top performer in the nation since Casie Ramsier almost exactly one year ago (Sept. 29, 2015). Dodson is also the fourth player to be tabbed to the Team of the Week in the past two seasons.
Auburn had two offensive outbursts last week, leading to wins at No. 12 Florida and Georgia. The Tigers scored seven goals in which Dodson was involved with six of them.
The Aurora, Ill. native found the back of the net four times and secured both match-winners. Dodson also contributed two assists in 138 minutes on the field.
Dodson and the Tigers resume action on Friday night when they host SEC foe Missouri at the Auburn Soccer Complex at 7 p.m.
