AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn basketball opens its 18-game SEC schedule for the 2016-17 season prior to January for the first time in 28 years with a Dec. 29 home game vs. Georgia on ESPNU, the SEC announced on Tuesday.

The Tigers play their three common SEC opponents Alabama, Georgia and Ole Miss home-and-home along with LSU and Missouri. Auburn plays Florida, Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi State in Auburn Arena and Kentucky, Vanderbilt, South Carolina and Texas A&M on the road.

For its entire 2016-17 schedule, Auburn faces a possibility of playing 15 games against 12 teams that reached postseason last year, including seven games vs. those in the NCAA Tournament and eight in the NIT.

Auburn plays two of its final three games, all on the SEC Network, at home vs. Arkansas on Feb. 25, at Georgia on March 1 and Missouri on March 4 on Senior Day as it will honor T.J. Dunans, Ronnie Johnson, LaRon Smith and Devin Waddell. The SEC Tournament is March 8-12 in Nashville, Tenn., at Bridgestone Arena.

Games listed with multiple networks are considered net flex and the network will be determined 7-10 days out.
