AUBURN, Ala. -- The Auburn volleyball team welcomes Southeastern Conference rival Georgia to Auburn Arena Wednesday, Oct. 12, for a 7 p.m. CT league match.

The midweek tilt is the second meeting between the two teams this season. It will be televised on SEC Network with Melissa Lee and Jenny Hazelwood on the call.

QUICK HITS
- Auburn concluded its home weekend last week with a 1-1 record and enter Wednesday's match at 9-10 overall and 3-3 in SEC play.
- The Tigers opened last weekend with a tough three-set loss (25-22, 25-21, 25-15) to Missouri Friday night.
- Auburn capped the week with a well-balanced victory over rival Alabama, 3-1 (25-19, 21-25, 25-19, 25-19), in front of 1,407 fans Sunday afternoon.

- Earl's 5.32 digs/set average currently leads all student-athletes in the SEC and is ninth nationally. She has a league-best 5.39 average against conference foes. She also has reached 20 or more digs 10 times this season.
- Filley leads the team with 10 double-doubles this season. That total is second overall among SEC opponents.

SCOUTING GEORGIA
- The Bulldogs are 13-6 overall and hold a 1-5 record in Southeastern Conference play.
- Georgia picked up its first league victory of the season Friday, Oct. 7, defeating South Carolina in four sets. The Bulldogs closed out the weekend with 3-0 loss to LSU at home.
- UGA leads the SEC with an overall average of 1.52 service aces/set. Junior Cassidy Anderson is fourth in the conference with a .43 average, while sophomore Sydney Gilliam is 10th at .29.
- The Bulldog backrow is averaging 14.76 digs/set, which is good for third among SEC opponents.
- Anderson is third in the conference with a 3.94 digs/set average.
- Senior Desiree McCray is among the league's best blockers, having a 1.02 blocks/set average.

- Give Auburn the sweep of the Bulldogs this season.

- Three members of the Auburn volleyball team reached new career highs as the Tigers defeated Georgia, 3-1 (25-13, 25-19, 16-25, 25-20), in the Ramsey Center
- Brenna McIlroy finished with a career-best 21 kills and had a .417 hitting percentage for the Tigers. Gwyn Jones chipped in a career-high 15 kills, while Breanna Barksdale had eight. Courtney Crable finished with seven kills.
- Libero Jesse Earl led all student-athletes with 21 digs and picked up a career-best five service aces. Kelly Stewart had eight digs and three aces and Alexa Filley finished with 46 assists and nine digs. Barksdale led the Auburn defense up front with five blocks.
