Oct. 11, 2016 AUBURN, Ala. - After an impressive showing on the pitch last week, midfielder Brooke Ramsier was chosen to TopDrawerSoccer.com's Team of the Week. The honor is given to the best 11 players across the country for their performances throughout the week.
Ramsier totaled four points in victories at Kentucky and versus Mississippi State. Against Kentucky, the senior was responsible for setting up both goals in a 2-1 come-from-behind victory in Lexington, Ky. Ramsier tallied her fifth career multi-assist match and tied a season-best with two assists in the duel with the Wildcats.
The Dallas, Texas native got on the scoresheet in Auburn's 3-0 triumph against Mississippi State as she scored after bending in a corner kick to seal the win.
During the team's five-match winning streak, Ramsier has scored one goal and racked up four assists. The Tigers are 7-0 this season when the midfielder records at least one point in a match.
Ramsier has produced at least one point in five of Auburn's seven SEC clashes, with the Tigers coming out with wins in all five instances.
Ramsier is the third player on the team to garner team of the week accolades. Last week, defender Karli Gutsche was honored after she paced a back line that notched its fifth shutout of the season and scored the game-winner off a corner from Ramsier in a 1-0 league win against Missouri.
Kristen Dodson was also recognized in the final week of September and was even named the National Player of the Week, following a 10-point week that guided Auburn to two road wins at Florida and at Georgia.
The Tigers will look to continue their winning ways when they play host to Arkansas on Friday night. The contest has been marked as the annual Kicks for MS game and will begin at 7 p.m. at the Auburn Soccer Complex.
