Four former Auburn men's golfers to play at Safeway Open

AUBURN, Ala. - Former Auburn men’s golfers Blayne Barber, Dominic Bozzelli, Patton Kizzire and Michael Hebert are set to begin play at the Safeway Open PGA Tour event today through Sunday at the Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa, Calif.

Barber, an All-American and Palmer Cup representative during his time at Auburn, has four top-25 finishes on the Tour this year including a tie for third at the Honda Classic on Feb. 28.

Bozzelli, a 2013 graduate in Business, is playing in his first PGA Tour event of the year after spending time on the Web.com Tour where he ranked seventh in the money standings with $214,307 earned. The former All-SEC selection had four top-10 finishes this year including a win at the Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship in May that netted him $112,500.

Barber and Bozzelli are receiving training from head coach Nick Clinard.

Kizzire, the 2007 SEC Champion, ranks 82nd in the FedEx Cup Rankings and is No. 103 in the Official World Golf Rankings. The 2008 graduate has made the cut in 20 of 27 PGA events this year with five top-five finishes including a runner-up finish at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in the first event of the season.

Hebert, a 2013 graduate in Public Administration, is also making his first appearance on the PGA Tour this year. He made the cut in 15 of 21 Web.com Tour events with three top-25 finishes.
