Oct. 17, 2016 BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Senior midfielder Casie Ramsier has been tabbed as the SEC Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday. Ramsier's recognition marks the fourth-consecutive conference weekly honor picked up by an Auburn player.
Ramsier was responsible for netting the match-winner in a 3-2 triumph over No. 12 Arkansas last Friday at the Auburn Soccer Complex. The senior took a feed from Bri Folds in the 82nd minute and buried her ninth career game-winning goal into the back of the net, moving into a tie for third on the program's all-time list.
Ramsier's winner sent the Tigers to their sixth-straight SEC win, matching a program record that was set in 2004, and ascended into No. 8 in the latest NCAA RPI.
Auburn has won all six matches in which the captain from Dallas, Texas has registered at least one point this season.
Ramsier and the Tigers hit the road this week for matches at LSU (Oct. 20) and at Texas A&M (Oct. 23). Both matches will be televised on the SEC Network.
