Auburn Women's Tennis set for Roberta Alison Fall Classic

AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Auburn women's tennis will travel to Tuscaloosa, Alabama for the 29th Roberta Alison Fall Classic on Friday and Saturday at the Alabama Tennis Stadium. 16 teams will join the Tigers in the two-day event, including SEC opponents Alabama, Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

Georgie Axon, Taylor Russo, Alannah Griffin and Caroline Turner will represent Auburn this weekend.

Freshman duo Axon and Russo have combined for ten singles victories, with four of those coming against ranked opponents. Axon advanced to the quarterfinals of the USTA/ITA Southern Regional last weekend before falling to teammate Allie Michaud.

Turner advanced to the quarterfinals of the main draw consolation bracket at the Southern Regionals last weekend, while Griffin advanced to the main draw round of 16.

The first round of doubles is set to start on Friday at 9 a.m. CT, followed by the first two rounds of singles. The second round of doubles will begin on Saturday at 9 a.m., followed by the third round of doubles and will wrap up with the third rounds of singles.
