Auburn continues its climb in the national polls, using Saturday's 40-29 win over Ole Miss to claim its fifth straight victory to jump to No. 11 in the AP poll and No. 12 in the coaches poll released Sunday.
The Tigers, ranked 17th in the coaches poll last week, have gone from unranked to national recognition in the last three weeks. Auburn is 6-2 overall and 4-1 in the Southeastern Conference heading into this Saturday's 11 a.m. game against Vanderbilt in Jordan-Hare Stadium that will be televised by ESPN.
This season's first College Football Playoff Selection Committee rankings will be released Tuesday night.
