AUBURN, Ala. -Rudy Ford, last seen playing defensive back as well as running back, is headed to the Senior Bowl when Auburn's season is done.

Auburn's leading tackler in 2014 and 2015 played a little running back against Alabama A&M on Saturday, rushing twice for six yards. He made three tackles, too.

Ford's 118 tackles in 2015 were the most by an Auburn player since 2001. He had a team-best 93 tackles in 2014. He's second on the team in tackles this season with 57. He has also returned eight kickoffs for 127 yards.

He has 273 career tackles and five career interceptions.

The Senior Bowl is expected to announce other Auburn players after they formally sign papers committing to the game.
