Nov. 29, 2016 KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Fresh off the deepest postseason run in Auburn soccer history, four players were lauded for their seasons by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
Kiana Clarke, Kristen Dodson, Brooke Ramsier and Casie Ramsier were named to the All-South Region Teams, the NSCAA announced Tuesday.
The quartet's recognition matches the group of Ronda Brooks, Chrissy Culver, Megan Rivera and Sarah Steinmann from the 2004 squad as the only teams to have four players tabbed all-region.
Casie Ramsier, a first team selection, finished with 31 points in 2016. That mark stands as the fourth-best season in program history. She also set an Auburn record with six game-winning goals and holds the career mark with 13.
The Dallas, Texas native finished her career second in goals (37) and matches started (89), third in points (94) and 10th in assists (20).
An All-South Region Second Team honoree, Clarke paced a back line that totaled seven shutouts in 2016. She guided a defense that allowed just 1.08 goals per match, good for seventh in the team's record book.
The senior defender played in every match and saw the field for 2,168 minutes out of a possible 2,177 total minutes this season.
Joining Clarke on the second team, Dodson finished in the top three in the SEC in both goals and assists. The junior set the Auburn program record for points in a season with 38 and produced the second-highest totals in a single season with 13 goals and 12 assists.
She has already made it into the record books as the forward ranks sixth in career goals with 24, sixth in game-winning goals with eight, seventh in career points with 66 and 10th in career goals with 21.
Brooke Ramsier, a third team choice, was part of the nation's highest-scoring sister duo as she amassed 28 points in 2016. She tied for the team lead with 12 assists and was third in goals with eight, including five from set pieces.
The senior finished her career with the fourth-most assists in program history with 26. She also capped her four-year career with 58 points, good for 12th on the program's all-time list.
This season, all four players played key roles in guiding the Tigers to unprecedented heights as the 2016 team made the NCAA Quarterfinals for the first time in Auburn soccer history and set a program record with 17 wins.
