AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Auburn volleyball's Stephanie Campbell was named to the 2016 SEC Volleyball Community Service team for the third-straight season, the league office announced Wednesday.
Campbell serves as the Co-Community Service Coordinator for SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee), planning community service events for all Auburn student-athletes. In this role, she assists in finding community service projects and also helps coordinate the annual Toys for Tots toy drive. She has also taken part in holiday visits to local hospitals and nursing homes, and has participated in backpack stuffing parties for Blessings in a Backpack.
In addition, Campbell volunteers with a program called CPS (Canine Performance Science), working with dogs that will eventually be bomb detection dogs. She also volunteers with Bravehearts, an organization that gives teenagers with disabilities the opportunity to participate in art, music, and dance.
The senior from Wildwood, Mo., has also been an excellent student in the classroom. She currently holds a 4.0 grade-point average with a double major in cellular and molecular biology and animal sciences. She is a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree and was named to the 2013, 2014 and 2014 SEC Academic Honor Roll.
