AUBURN, Ala. -- Junior Allie Michaud and teammate Andie Dikosavljevic both fell on day two of the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships on Friday. Michaud fell in the main draw round of 16 to No. 19 Astra Sharma (Vanderbilt), 7-5, 3-6, 6-4, while Dikosavljevic lost in the consolation bracket to No. 23 Aldila Sutjiadi of Kentucky, 6-1, 6-4.
"We had a great fall season," Auburn head coach Lauren Spencer said. "We look forward to putting in some productive work during our off season in preparation for spring and our quest for an SEC Championship."
No. 25 Michaud finishes the fall with a 10-3 singles record. The Florida native advance to the National Indoors after defeating Dikosavljevic in the ITA Southern Regional finals.
Dikosavljevic made her second appearance at the National Indoors with an at-large bid after appearing in the finals of the ITA Southern Regional. The junior finishes up the fall with a 4-3 singles record.
Auburn women's tennis will return to action in the spring when it opens up the season with Samford on January 21 at Yarbrough Tennis Center.
