AUBURN, Ala. - Auburn continued its standing in the Top 10 in the national rankings Tuesday, holding its No. 9 ranking in the College Football Playoff standings.

That was more of the same for the streaking Tigers. Auburn made a jump in the national polls on Sunday, moving to No. 8 in both the coaches and Associated Press polls. The top four teams in the College Football Playoff standings make playoff that determines the national champion.

The Tigers were steady enough in a 23-16 win over Vanderbilt last Saturday, despite playing shorthanded because of injuries. Coach Gus Malzahn presented a hopeful medical report Tuesday, saying quarterback Sean White is healthy enough to start at Georgia on Saturday. He also said SEC leading rusher Kamryn Pettway could overcome a leg injury and play, too.

Auburn heads to Athens on a six-game winning streak, now 7-2 overall and 5-1 in the Southeastern Conference. Georgia is 5-4 overall and 3-4 in the league.
