After a pair of dual meet wins for No. 10 Auburn over Alabama last week, Scott Lazeroff, Julie Meynen and Ashley Neidigh have all earned SEC weekly awards. Lazeroff was named the Male Diver of the Week, Meynen the Female Freshman of the Week and Neidigh the Female Swimmer of the Week.
Lazeroff, a sophomore from Rochester, N.Y., swept the springboard events in the win over Alabama, a first for him this season. He scored a 341.03 on the 1-meter and a 380.85 on the 3-meter, both of which were season bests.
Meynen, from Luxembourg, remained undefeated in the 100 free in dual meets this season, winning in 49.44. She also won the 50 free in 22.74, the 17th-fastest time nationally, and swam the anchor leg for the winning 400 medley and 400 free relays. This is the second time she has been named the top female freshman in the conference.
Neidigh, a senior from Jacksonville, Fla., swept the distance events, winning the 500 and 1000 freestyles. She swam a 9:45.74 to win the 1000, the seventh-fastest time in the nation this season. Then she swam a 4:48.36 to win the 500, good for 15th-best in the national top times.
Auburn returns to dual meet action this Friday, Nov. 11, when it swims at Tennessee. The meet is scheduled to begin at noon CT and will air live on SEC Network and WatchESPN.
