The Auburn diving program will close out the fall semester with the Auburn Diving Invitational, a three-day event at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center from Saturday through Monday.
Auburn goes into the meet with both Scott Lazeroff and Pete Turnham having earned zone qualifying scores on all three boards while on the women's side freshman Alison Maillard has zone qualifying scores on all three boards, Maddie Cox has them on both springboards and Claire Schuermann has one on the 3-meter.
Lazeroff, a two-time SEC Diver of the Week this year, earned his top springboard zone qualifying scores (1-meter: 341.03, 3-meter: 380.85) during the Alabama dual meet and his top platform score (431.30) at the Georgia Tech Invitational. Turnham's top 1-meter (344.15) and platform (323.60) scores came during the Georgia Tech Invitational while his best 3-meter score (375.45) came during the Tennessee dual meet.
Maillard, who has earned a SEC Freshman of the Week honor earlier this year, earned all three of her best scores (1-meter: 276.10, 3-meter: 314.35, platform: 242.05) during the Georgia Tech Invitational while Cox's best scores came during dual meets, earning her top 1-meter score (279.23) against Wisconsin and her top 3-meter score (304.73) against Alabama. Schuermann's 3-meter zone qualifying score (280.25) came at the Georgia Tech Invitational.
Justin Checchin and Miranda Telmanik are both in search of their first zone qualifying score of the season.
Also competing at the meet will be Alabama, Florida State, LSU, South Carolina and Tennessee.
All three days will begin at 11 a.m. with prelims. Saturday will feature the women's 3-meter and men's 1-meter, with a 16-person finals, the men's immediately following prelims and the women at 5 p.m. Sunday the men will compete on the 3-meter and women on 1-meter, with the men's 3-meter final set for 5 p.m. Monday's platform will have just one session, which begins at 11 a.m.
