AUBURN, Ala. ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃƒÆ'¢'¬" Junior Alexa Rivard of the No. 3 Auburn equestrian team was named the SEC Reining Rider of the Month for November, the league office announced Tuesday.
The Suwanee, Ga., product picked up the second honor of her career following a pair of solid showings against league opponents.
Rivard kicked off the month with a career-high 74 points on the road at No. 4 Georgia, Nov. 11. She then helped Auburn earn a 13-5 win over No. 8 South Carolina at home, Nov. 18, with a 67.5-66.5 victory over Maddie Thiel.
On the season, Rivard leads the team with four wins in the event. That includes two victories in SEC competition.
Auburn concluded the fall portion of the year with a 4-2 overall record and a 2-1 mark in conference play. The Tigers return to competition in January, traveling to Alabama for a hunt seat-only exhibition meet, Jan. 20. The entire team comes together for a huge conference clash, hosting rival Georgia at the Auburn University Horse Center, Feb. 11, beginning at 1 p.m. CT.
